Life Skills & Social Recreation

In the Life Skills & Social Recreation program DAC clients focus on functional academics and community integration with the goal of increased independence.  Each client has a program and set of activities designed specifically for them to work on skill building and opportunities for community inclusion.

DAC clients participate in social groups, work on computers, learn independent living skills and participate in group outings.  DAC clients have an opportunity to garden in the summer, enjoy music hour from 12:30-1:00 every Tuesday and the DAC takes two field trips a month, where clients get a chance to put the skills they’ve talked about in class in to play in the community.
